WE’VE MADE SOME CHANGES

TO THE CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2009

Rounded Rectangle: DHS Child Care Clients and Providers: The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) is making changes to the Child Care Assistance Program. Effective November 1, 2009, your monthly co-payment will be reduced by 15%. (copay calculator) Clients and providers will NOT be issued a new Approval form showing the new parent co-payment amount. Please accept the Child Care Certificate for November as verification of the lower co-payment amount. Clients and providers will not receive another Approval form until eligibility is redetermined. If you lose your job on or after November 1, 2009, you may have up to 90 days to look for a new job. You must notify your Child Care Resource and Referral agency or your Site Contracted Provider within 10 days of losing your job. If you have questions about the new co-payments or 90-day job search, please contact your local Child Care Resource and Referral agency or Site Contracted provider.
