As fast as technology changes there are always new standards to be upheld. Child Care Resource Service has a fortunate affiliation with the University of Illinois and has made a bold step to "stay ahead of the game" in its efforts to serve a diverse audience and improve the accessibility of its web resources. One new standard for web technology and development is the incorporation of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) that enable a viewer to take more control in displaying the contents of a web page to meet their needs meeting ADA 503 compliant guidelines.
To serve the growing population of Spanish Language visitors, a new top navigation menu option will appear on any pages available "en español".
One new feature web visitors will notice is the "display.text.only" option available for each page, located below. This will enable a visitor with visual impairments to remove all the background styling and display only the text in a easy to read one column format that can enhance text color, contrast and size to meet their needs. It can also be used to print the content only of a page in an easier to read format.
